New Year, New Me

Hey Everyone,

I thought it was time for an update. I'm organizing my life. I've been purging and tidying all of the things in my house that aren't serving me. Has anyone watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo? It's been extremely inspiring.

The last few years, I've had a lot of events influencing my personal foundation. I took the beginning of this year to reflect on my core values and goals. When I listen to my gut about where I am and where I want to be by the end of 2019, I know it will be a year of tremendous growth, rebirth, and abundance. I'm going to call this my Phoenix year, rising from the ashes. 😉

From early 2017 until the Autumn of 2018, I felt a slump in inspiration. It's a challenging thing when your soul and heart want to create, but your mind and emotions are checked out and overwhelmed. I spent the entire summer 2018 working in the garden, grounding myself. Yet, I was still experiencing a long harsh winter in my creativity. It finally started to thaw in September and like a spark, in October, ignited again.

Fear and guilt, external and internal, have always been an area of opportunity for me. I've let them go and I've forgiven myself. Now, I'm building a healthy foundation, focusing on the worthwhile and on my personal truth: my words have meaning, writing is my superpower.

Not too long ago, a friend of mine encouraged me to care for myself so that I could be the best version of me, who was ready to share my gifts with the world. At that moment I felt exposed. I wondered how she could peer into me so accurately and see without me saying a word about what I was feeling on the inside, the chaos shrouding the desire to find clarity. I knew I was in that process of starting to love myself, but not committed.

Her encouragement gave me the push I needed. I'm blessed to have her in my life, and I'm grateful for all of you. This year, I'm dedicating it to letting go of what doesn't serve my heart, my soul and my creative fire.

I will be writing Tides of Change this year, the fifth book in The Mercrutian Chronicles, as well as launching my first few books in my Vampire Series: Stills at Dawn, Nocturnal Sketches, and Words of Silk. You can also look forward to the revised and revamped versions of The Arzulian Kingdoms: Prince of Fire and King of Shadows, I will expand the series in the future to include The Lightning Queen, as well.

For those wondering about launch dates, I invite you to check out the word count updates on the right side of my website to see where each book is progress wise. Once the word count is met, the published versions will be appearing within editing time thereafter.

Lastly, and importantly, I want to express a deeply felt thank you to everyone who celebrated the launch of Pearl of the Depths with me! You make sharing worthwhile. ❤

Until next time!

  1. Definitely heard of the show and inspired by it, so much so my writing has been lacking! A never ending task indeed but so freeing!

    1. Haha I hear you! But once we've cleared the way for creativity, it can only flourish. :)
